Growing up, I was fascinated by the work the doctors in my family did. When it came to choosing my own path, I realised there was another way of helping someone heal, one that involved not only understanding what a person was going through, but also making them feel truly heard and understood from a non-judgmental standpoint. My own journey with mental health has also shaped the way I see therapy. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate the chaos in your mind on your own, and how meaningful it can be to have someone sit with you through it. That is what drew me towards becoming a therapist: the opportunity to create a space where people do not have to make sense of everything alone, especially when they are feeling alone or vulnerable!
