Hey, I know this seems hard, but I am here for you. Seeking therapy may not be easy. Asking for help may not be easy because it often makes us feel vulnerable. However, asking for professional help makes you stronger as a person, to be able to identify the difficult emotions and seek therapeutic support. Sometimes, all we want is to be heard, seen, understood, or simply comforted. You have been carrying this burden on your own for long enough. I think it's time we shared the burden and see how we can make this better. I have worked with people who often feel lost, overwhelmed, tired of feeling so much all the time, or simply unheard in their work life or relationships. I am a Clinical Psychologist who works with a structured yet empathetic tone. I want to help you help yourself. I want to hold you through this difficult time. I may not have all your answers at present, but I want to be here as a constant, non-judgmental support to help you understand these difficult feelings and make them a little better. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for you, silently struggling all this time. In therapy, I prefer to use an eclectic approach, borrowing strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based therapy and Supportive therapy. In CBT, we work together to understand the thoughts that make you feel anxious, stuck, or overwhelmed, especially the ones that keep looping in your head and make you imagine the worst. I’ll help you notice those patterns and slowly shift them into thoughts that feel more balanced and less stressful. With mindfulness-based therapy, we’ll learn to notice what you’re feeling without reacting or pushing it away, helping you build calm, clarity, and inner control. Outside of work, I like to watch old sitcoms like FRIENDS, How I Met Your Mother, or Brooklyn 99, listen to old Hindi music, and read fiction ranging from crime mystery thrillers to quiet, comforting stories of simple people. These help me take a pause, wind down and feel a sense of calmness around me.

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

My initial interest in the field was developed during my high school by reading various fiction and non-fiction books pertaining to an exploration of the complex human psyche, specifically 'The Silence of the Lambs' by Thomas Harris. A gentle nudge toward the direction was also provided by my teacher whom I thoroughly looked up to, who further helped me explore pathways toward the clinical profession. The unimaginable capacity of the human mind has been intriguing to me ever since.

Still have questions, or just need to talk it through? We’re here to help no matter what you’re looking for, or where you're starting from.
