Among my group of friends, I have always played the role of being a good listener and my relatives and friends often complimented me for being calm and intuitive. While these experiences did contribute to me becoming the therapist that I am today, what actually pushed me in this direction was watching an overhyped movie displaying the role of a psychologist, back in 2007. I have ever since been loyal to and passionate about psychology and it has been a long journey from being an adolescent who took inspiration from a cinematic misrepresentation of how things go about in this field to becoming a Clinical Psychologist who now understands that. My clinical experience gave me opportunities to meet people from different walks of life and eventually I understood that, it is the satisfaction, knowing that I made a difference in someone's life, that drove me to become a psychotherapist.
