Hi. I have been engaged in the space of mental health for over 8 years now. In my practice, my focus is not only on providing empirically sound interventions but to encourage an honest interaction between me and my client. This interaction, to my mind, is the intersection of their world and the therapeutic space. I may be an expert in my field but they are the experts of their lives and the process of therapy is an amalgamation of this expertise for the benefit of the client I am working with. I have had the opportunity of working with a large spectrum of clinical concerns like anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis and other related disorders. My special interest and expertise lies in working with substance use disorders and the spectrum of concerns related to difficulties in emotional regulation. My therapy approach uses a mix of Behavioural, Cognitive Behavioural, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy techniques with an Existential and Humanistic framework supporting them. I am a proponent of mindfulness practices both in my clinical practice and personal life and like to incorporate elements of it into my work with clients. When not working, I am engaged in reading any and every written document I can lay my hands on.
