Does it ever feel like your world is crashing down, and you can’t quite explain why? Or maybe everything looks fine on the outside, but inside, you’re carrying it all quietly and alone. If that resonates, therapy might be a place to begin. Hey there! I am Prachi, an RCI Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns like low self-esteem, communication difficulties, complex emotions, grief, life transitions, anxiety, depression, mood challenges, and trauma. The therapeutic process looked different with each person. I focus on slowing down and helping them make sense of what is feeling tangled, which is often seen as long-term, process-oriented work. As a therapist, I strongly believe in the power of compassion, both towards oneself and others. Therapy works beyond words as it is an attempt to create a safe space that allows the individual to simply be. It is also a collaborative journey where we work together to become unstuck, overcome obstacles, and move towards a more holistic way of living. My training includes an M.Sc. (2022) and M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (2024) from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. My practice is eclectic and trauma-informed, grounded in attachment-based and humanitarian frameworks, with a strong emphasis on self-discovery. Outside of the therapy room, you can find me unwinding over a cup of tea and conversations with my loved ones, cooking, walking alongside beaches, playing the ukulele, catching up on the latest web series and reading.

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

Growing up I never stuck to one profession. Some day it would be wanting to become a doctor, another day an engineer or an architect, a gardener, a CA, a teacher and the list goes on. I got into reading about Psychology at a point when I did not know much about mental health and it saved me. It brought about a deeper understanding and appreciation towards life - I found meaning. On this journey of learning to understand myself, I found myself being able to relate to people better, to be able to listen to them, see where they were coming from. So, becoming a psychotherapist seemed like a natural progression.
