Hi, I'm Pavani! As a counseling psychologist, I believe that everyone has the innate desire to grow and change. My aim is to help you feel confident in your ability to deal with challenges, nurture strong relationships and lead a meaningful life. I help people address a range of concerns such as a lack of motivation, self doubt, work stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and navigating queer identities. I consider therapy to be a collaborative relationship that enables me to support the client and help them accomplish the changes they want to make in their lives.
I practice therapy through a humanistic lens, which means that I give importance to a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship. I primarily practice cognitive and behavioral therapeutic approaches which involve understanding how our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interlinked, and how they affect our perception of our life experiences. These approaches will highlight your agency in recognising your own thoughts and feelings and your ability to challenge them in order to achieve personal growth.
Outside the therapy space, you can find me reading the latest psychological thriller, playing badminton with my friends, or ranting my way through unnecessarily competitive board games.

FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?
I’ve always been drawn to psychology as a subject that delves into human behaviour, but over the years, I’ve also seen firsthand how therapy can be a source of hope and direction, and how a simple human presence can create a sense of belongingness that helps one feel heard, understood and supported through challenging times.
