Hello! I am a Psychologist at Amaha, and I graduated with a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology (Clinical and Counselling Practice) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. I firmly believe in the adage ‘the person is not the problem; the problem is the problem’ - people are experts on themselves and possess values, beliefs, skills, competencies and abilities that can help them heal. To me, therapy is about empathy, acceptance, and collaboration, a partnership based on honesty, trust and respect. I hope to create a safe sanctuary within which my clients may explore, experience, process, and ultimately be empowered. I adopt an approach that aims to nurture client strengths and capacity for resilience, acting as a catalyst for growth and healing. I use strategies from multiple schools of thought, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Approaches, and Expressive Arts. Outside of work, I enjoy writing, reading, film and TV analysis, music and cooking!

FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?
Like many, my interest in Psychology was born of my curiosity about human behaviour, emotion and thinking at deeper levels. However, it was personal experience with distress and the struggle with ‘being’ that led me to the other side, to want to help people feel seen, heard and understood, create a space to breathe, and gain the courage to be. Being allowed into the inner worlds of clients, listening to the stories they carry with them and facilitating a collaborative journey of healing is an immense privilege to me.
