Hello! I am a Clinical Psychologist with over five years of experience dedicated to supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. I believe that we are all works in progress, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, working toward becoming the best versions of themselves. I hold both an MSc and an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with clients dealing with depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma and trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, and interpersonal issues. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the existential-humanistic school of thought, which emphasizes self-exploration and personal meaning. I also incorporate evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to tailor my sessions to each client’s unique needs. My goal is not only to help clients alleviate their immediate symptoms but also to foster personal growth and resilience. My previous experience in academia has deepened my commitment to staying informed and building knowledge to enhance my practice. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy reading, discovering new music, and writing. These interests provide me with new perspectives and creative outlets that enrich both my personal and professional life.

FAQs
FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I have always found myself being drawn to narratives of people. Pain and suffering, while being universal, has an enormous impact on mundane day-to-day life. While none of us can entirely free ourselves from these burdens, they become lighter when we know we're not alone, when we feel safe in the presence of another person. The journey of being there with someone, holding space for their vulnerabilities, and witnessing how they transform their pain into strength, is what drew me to this profession. As Carl Rogers once said, “I rejoice at the privilege of being a midwife to a new personality - as I standby with awe at the emergence of a new self and person”.

My session with her is going great.... I'm able to learn how to manage my emotions and also she is making me understand that I can do anything and making me confident as I was feeling helpless. - Niharika
