Hello! I am Kadambari Shahane and my pronouns are she/her. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelors in Psychology. I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ clients through their unique life stressors. I have an affirmative, trauma-informed approach in my practice. I also use an Emotionally focused therapy (Sue Johnson) approach where therapeutic work is based on processing emotions, diving deeper into attachment styles and creating secure relationships, in and outside of therapy. I have also had the privilege to be a part of mental health journey of clients with depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, self-esteem, personality, and interpersonal issues.
My aim through this therapeutic journey would be to create a secure and safe space in therapy for you without judgement.
A little about me- in my free time, I enjoy playing with my pets, cooking, colouring, and dancing.

FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?
It began with my fascination towards human behaviour. However, my urge to become a therapist got stronger when I learnt about psychotherapy in Master’s. I believe and have witnessed how a healthy and secure therapeutic relationship has a substantial impact on someone’s mental health. It is a privilege to be able to contribute to community wellbeing’s by focusing on mental health. I intended to exercise that privilege.

Kadambari created a very welcoming space for me in our sessions. I was always vary of being able to open up to someone, but Kadambari took me through all the stages with so much care and kindness. Through our sessions I learned how to make better choices for myself, and understand the people around me better. And all the tools that she taught me have changed the way I live and relate to environment around me. The changes and growth I have experienced through these sessions have lead to a more comfortable and calm life for me. Each session helped me choose myself and care for myself in ways that I couldn't fathom before.- Anonymous
