I have been interested in psychology for as long as I can remember. I am curious by nature, and genuinely enjoy interacting with and understanding people. Choosing to study psychology at both the bachelors and masters levels was an intuitive choice for me. As a therapist, my focus is on creating safe and accepting spaces for my clients. I prefer an eclectic approach to therapy, and will work with my clients to create sessions that best meet their needs. Some of the aproaches that I use in my practise are cognitive-behavioural techniques, narrative practises, and emotion focused work. In my downtime I enjoy reading, playing the piano, and watching TV shows!

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I have always been an avid reader. Each book that I read gave me new insight into the thoughts, emotions, and interactions between people. This set the stage for a life-long interest in psychology and mental health. I chose to become a therapist because I firmly believe that mental health is at the center of everything we do. Every human being deserves to live a happy healthy life, and looking after our mental health is an integral aspect to achieving this.
