Hello, I am a Consultant Psychologist at Amaha. I completed my MSc in Counseling Psychology in 2024 and BA in Theatre Studies, English and Psychology in 2022, both from Christ University. During these years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with children and young adults experiencing concerns, including relationships, family relations, childhood experiences, academic concerns, existential anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, skill training, and emotional regulation. Furthermore, I completed intensive courses on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focussed Therapy. I am inclined towards using approaches including but not limited to CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gestalt. I also lean towards taking an experiential approach over cognitive work as they align with my own beliefs of addressing issues through a systemic lens and finding the connection between one’s current concerns and their upbringing. The concept of Ubuntu inspires me strongly; I believe in the concept of being there for our fellow human beings and in the notion of humanity. I strive to bear witness to the innate goodness of people, and I work to show my clients the same, all the while motivating change by highlighting stories of resilience and hope. Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoy listening to music, singing, organizing, and watching sitcoms.

FAQs
FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?

My personal experiences, especially as a child, showed me that often a listening ear plays a big role in making a lasting and impactful difference. I also love listening to the stories people have to share and helping them discover parts of themselves that may have gone unnoticed or been overlooked. I find immense joy in helping others find peace with themselves and making sense of their own experiences.

"Amaha is the support I was looking for— I chose them to help me work through my trauma and depression, and I am so glad that I did. My first session with Flora Grace Stanley was an online one, and it was extremely transformative. She made me feel welcome, validated, and created a safe and comfortable environment to speak through my emotions. She was extremely patient, soft, lively, and compassionate— she made me feel whole, and helped me navigate and understand my pain. She is spectacular, and this experience made me become confident to opt for offline sessions— and it was the best decision I've ever made. I recommend Amaha for treating not only addressing mental health conditions, but also as a tool for self-care and self-love. I will continue choosing them."- Google Review
