I am Dharini Dedhia and my pronouns are (she/her). I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. I like to use an eclectic approach while integrating an intersectional, trauma-informed lens and elements from different schools of thought. I am inclined towards a depth and insight-focused framework while creating a safe and non-judgmental space in order for the client to be their authentic selves and befriend their experiences. I work with individuals experiencing a wide range of everyday mental and emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships and attachment-related concerns, lack of motivation and pleasure in life, work-life balance, family conflicts and procrastination.
Additionally, I have also been actively exploring, learning and participating in conversations, groups and courses that upskill my knowledge in the field.
As humans, we have a natural drive to find meaning in our lives. I'm interested in exploring how our communities, environment, upbringing, and personal experiences all connect and impact each other. By looking at things in a holistic way and considering how our bodies store these experiences, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Hence, I strive to work on engaging with the safety system of our mind and body with a trauma-informed lens. Apart from Psychology, my interests include art, volunteering, photography and reading.

FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?
My decision to pursue psychology came with years of learning, from the professors who spoke about their experience in the field, and exploring its branches and sub-fields only ignited that spark of interest. I have been a curious individual since the very beginning and it has been a major part of my personality which eventually turned into a drive to learn and understand things around me better, the systems the societies, and the nurture around me and to understand different parts of me and my interpersonal relationships better.
