If you have been feeling like things just aren’t getting better or you really cannot pinpoint what is making you feel out of sorts, therapy with me will provide you with the comfort to openly, or perhaps even silently, explore just what might be going on. Therapy with me means finding your own rhythm — slow, paced, fast — so you can develop your own music that is soothing, calming, and uniquely you. Hi, I’m Devishi. Like everyone, I have many sides to who I am, but here, I like to introduce myself as a trusted and attentive listener. I like to create an understanding space where we can wonder about what’s confusing or hard, and gently test what brings comfort. We stay attentive to what’s felt and unspoken, and allow for ambiguity without always pushing for quick solutions. We collaborate, because that’s the best way to connect gaps between perspectives, thoughts, ideas, and feelings. I care deeply about my work, but I also recognize that I am at my best for others when I am at my best for myself. So when I am not working, I like to spend my time in nature; with my dogs, who are my favourite therapists; and with my family and friends. Additionally, a good coffee, warm book, or funny sitcom are my reset formulae that always get me going for the week.

FAQs
FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?

Choosing to become a therapist was less a decision I made, and more one that found me. When I was figuring out what I wanted to do, I leaned into what others often noticed first in me: a trusting warmth and the ability to make people feel safe and heard. When I began studying psychology, the complexity of the human mind fascinated me – the way people respond so differently to similar challenges was very compelling. That’s when I knew I could use my skills and interest and turn it into a career that speaks to me and creates a safe and non-judgmental space for others.
