I took PCMB in my 10+2 and absolutely despised what I studied! To run away from Physics and Organic Chemistry, I found my solace in reading various books and read more about human emotions and behaviours. Later, my evolving curiosity made me pick up Psychology as Major in under-graduation. However, there's one incident which moved me. During my Master's, I interned at a government hospital in Kolkata where I saw a teenager in the emergency room. She survived a suicide attempt and I saw the pain, angst, and helplessness in her parents' eyes. This made me realise even if I could save a single life, that would save several more lives associated with the person. This influenced me a lot in becoming a Clinical Psychologist later.
