Hey there! With 8+ years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist registered with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), I primarily work with adults with a wide range of Mental Health Concerns, including Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Sleep Disorders, Adult-ADHD, and Personality Disorders. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness techniques, Trauma-focused approaches, and Supportive Psychotherapy. I have an inclination towards Women's Mental Health, across their lifespan. Outside of the therapy space, I see the importance of constant learning and supervision and I am interested in leveraging tools and technology to minimise the paucity of mental health care. When I am not working, I am either parenting a toddler, talking (or mostly eating) about food, traveling to new places or watching clouds (in no particular order!).

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I took PCMB in my 10+2 and absolutely despised what I studied! To run away from Physics and Organic Chemistry, I found my solace in reading various books and read more about human emotions and behaviours. Later, my evolving curiosity made me pick up Psychology as Major in under-graduation. However, there's one incident which moved me. During my Master's, I interned at a government hospital in Kolkata where I saw a teenager in the emergency room. She survived a suicide attempt and I saw the pain, angst, and helplessness in her parents' eyes. This made me realise even if I could save a single life, that would save several more lives associated with the person. This influenced me a lot in becoming a Clinical Psychologist later.
