My name is Bhumika and I specialize in helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, evidence-based techniques, and a collaborative approach. I work with individuals facing a range of challenges including anxiety that is often expressed like - "I constantly worry about everything and can't seem to turn my mind off", depression that looks like - "I feel numb and disconnected, like I'm just going through the motions", stress that manifests as - "I'm so overwhelmed, I don't even know where to start" and adjustment issues where "My whole life has changed and I don't recognize myself anymore" makes daily life challenging. My approach blends evidence-based techniques of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which will help you identify and change negative thought patterns that affect how you feel and behave, Mindfulness Therapy that helps you stay in the moment and observe your thoughts without judgement and Psychodynamic Therapy that helps you evaluate how your past experiences influence your current relationship with self and others. I believe deeply that everyone has an innate capacity for healing and growth—sometimes we just need support to rediscover it. Together, we'll explore your experiences, identify your strengths, and create practical strategies for meaningful change. In my personal time, I enjoy cooking creative meals and curling up with a book. These rituals keep me centered and reinforce the importance of self-care—principles that shape how I show up for my clients. I look forward to walking alongside you on this journey toward healing and self-discovery.

Why did you choose to become a therapist?

I’ve always been very curious and inquisitive about the working of the brain, why people behave the way they do and how their experiences change them. Growing up in a society which stigmatises mental health, I’ve always wanted to create a safe space where people feel comfortable expressing their emotions and experiences freely. Through my life, I’ve witnessed people carry heavy burdens waiting to unpack but not feeling safe enough to do so, which drew me to give that space to people and help them rediscover their wisdom and strength.
