Hello! I believe that no person can be understood through a diagnosis or a symptom alone because sometimes what brings us to therapy is not one particular problem but the feeling that something within us has become difficult to understand. Over the years, I have learned that behind every symptom is a person with a story - a story that is shaped by their experiences, beliefs, relationships and the consequences they have lived through. I see therapy as an opportunity for you to pause, make sense of your story and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
As a clinical psychologist, I place great value on the therapeutic relationship. I feel meaningful change becomes possible when therapy feels like a space where you can be heard without judgment, supported without being told who you “should be” and by being accepted for who you are. Therefore, my therapeutic approach is collaborative and eclectic in nature, grounded in evidence-based approaches. I draw from modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help you shift your what-ifs into thoughts that feel less distressing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help you learn to identify and navigate through intense emotions. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy can help create space for you to pause, observe and just be in the moment amidst the chaos called life. For when you find yourself repeating the same pattern, Psychodynamic Therapy can help explore and work through your past experiences for you to be able to make different choices. However, regardless of these therapeutic modalities I try to maintain a person-centered approach allowing for a space where you can be yourself without the fear of being judged. I believe that no one approach fits all and therefore I try to modify my approach in a way that it aligns with your unique needs.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in quieter, creative parts of life, I enjoy cooking, painting and spending time in nature. These spaces provide me an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with myself and I think these experiences also shape the way I show up as a therapist with warmth, curiosity and an appreciation for each person’s individuality. Lastly, for me therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about helping you understand yourself well enough to make choices that feel more aligned with who you want to be.

FAQs
Why did you choose to become a therapist?
As a school student when I was introduced to Psychology as a subject, I instantly felt a sense of connection with it. I became more observant of others’ experiences and felt a natural inclination to help people realize their potential and move towards living a life that feels more meaningful. Gradually I began to see therapy not as giving advice or offering solutions but rather as a space created for people to feel safe and validated, to understand themselves and others better, develop a different and more healthy perspective towards life. It was this opportunity to make a significant difference in other people’s lives which ultimately led me to become a therapist.
