2 years of experience

I offer mental health care for individuals aged 8–25.

Abin (he/they) is an RCI-registered counsellor and psychologist who supports children, adolescents, and young adults by creating a warm, approachable space where they feel heard and understood. He works with concerns related to anxiety, depression, academic stress, self-esteem, neurodivergence, and disability, and offers gender- and queer-affirming support. Abin works with young individuals in sessions to collaboratively co-create a space that provides agency, freedom, and a sense of ownership over their therapeutic journey. Rather than taking an expert stance, he uses an experience-near approach that allows each person to make sense of their feelings at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. Through play, narrative, and person-centred practices, he supports authentic expression and gentle emotional exploration. He remains mindful of the influential role of family, identity, and the world around a young person, drawing on an intersectional and trauma-informed lens to understand their experiences with care and nuance.

Concerns I can help with

QuoteWhenever I start thinking about it, I just spiral. It’s like my mind won’t stop replaying the same worries over and over, and it leaves me feeling exhausted and tense.
QuoteIt’s exhausting, honestly. I’m always second-guessing myself. How I talk, how I act, what I share. Every new space feels like a question: can I be myself here, or do I need to hide again? It’s like I’m always carrying this quiet fear that being seen for who I am might not be safe.
QuoteI feel like I need to have achievements or proof that I’m doing well for people to take me seriously. Like who I am right now just isn’t enough
