Psychiatric Care
Psychiatric care at Children First is more than just diagnosis and medication for symptoms. Our psychiatrists help you understand your child's needs, and the possible contributions from biological, social-systemic, psychological and emotional factors. Psychiatry consultations involve an open dialogue about how families can contribute towards their child’s recovery and well-being.While our psychiatry team is trained to provide accurate diagnoses, our approach focusses on the belief that children have innate strengths and everyday skills of living, which need to be identified and strengthened.
