About Children First
Founded in 2009, by Dr. Amit Sen, Dr. Shelja Sen and Dr. Kavita Arora, Children First is a Child and Adolescent Mental Health organisation, committed to creating a community of concern and care for children everywhere. We believe that mental health difficulties do not impact an individual alone, but the entire family and community.In 2022, Amaha joined hands with Children First in order to provide quality mental healthcare across the lifespan—from childhood to adulthood and beyond. Today, the Children First and Amaha teams stand together as the largest dedicated and specialised mental health teams in the country with 150+ professionals delivering assessments, care plans, therapy and psychiatric interventions to people all over the country.
Amaha's dream, together with Children First, is to create sustainable possibilities of quality mental healthcare across the lifespan for individuals, families, institutions and communities.
