Dr. Sabina Rao is renowned for her exceptional qualifications and expertise in mental health. Dr. Rao has an MBBS degree from Bangalore Medical college, completed her Psychiatry training from Duke University ,USA, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has 23 years of experience, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to her profession. After returning to India in 2011, she practiced at NIMHANS for 3 years and moved into private practice in late 2015. During these years, she has actively advocated for mental health through several talks at organizations such as Accenture, Harman, Capgemini, and Infosys, among others.
In addition to her clinical and advocacy work, she collaborated with the Indian Institute of Science (2022–2025) to establish a fully functional mental health clinic, including onboarding social workers, therapists, and psychiatrists.
Further strengthening her expertise, Dr. Sabina Rao has stayed upto date with the latest developments in the field of psychiatry to enhance her knowledge and skills. Her expertise spans a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.
