Dr. Sourabh is a Bengaluru-based psychiatrist trained at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, where he completed his MD in Psychiatry, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychiatry and further specialised training in Neuro-modulation. He works with adults and older adults — including neurodivergent individuals — across a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, stress-related difficulties, addiction, psychosexual difficulties, and emotional challenges associated with life transitions and relationships. His approach draws on both the neuroscience of mental illness and the relational dimensions of care, combining biological and psychotherapeutic perspectives in a way that is tailored to the individual.
His training included extensive supervised psychotherapy with a focus on psychodynamic approaches, earning him the Best Psychotherapy Award during residency. He has also trained in Motivational Interviewing directly under William R. Miller. He has worked extensively with individuals living with Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, dementia, traumatic brain injury, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders — with a focus on the behavioural, emotional, cognitive, and psychiatric dimensions of these conditions.
