Children First Expert

I chose to become a psychiatrist because I’ve always been drawn to the stories behind behavior—the unspoken narratives that shape how people think, feel, and relate to the world. Child and adolescent psychiatry, for me, is about prevention as much as it is about healing. It's the opportunity to intervene at a moment when life trajectories are still being formed—when a compassionate, evidence-based approach can change not just a day or a year, but a lifetime. I was drawn to this field because it allows me to be both a clinician and an advocate. To translate neuroscience into empathy. To offer young people what I wished more of them had access to: understanding without judgment, and care without conditions.
