From a young age, I spent many of my free hours attributing causes to people's attitudes and behaviours. I was always interested in the 'why?'. This led me to an interest in psychology, and when I realised that there are evidence-based methods to modify an individual's cognition, emotions and behaviour, I wanted to study it. I come from a background where sound health is given utmost priority. However, the lack of awareness of mental health concerns within my family grew a desire in me to advocate for the same. Studying psychology became an integral part of my journey of self-discovery.
